Hi. My wife loves the caravans halogen oven, she has produced some stunning Sunday dinners but beware of overloading the sites electrical circuit. We do check with sites and get get there approval.
As for storage it has never been an issue, just kept in its original box and stored under the settee.
We have used one for several years, firstly with a tent and now in our MH. Although we have a gas oven in the MH we find this so easy to use and more importantly clean, it is always first choose when we are on electric hookup. At around 1300w the only time we have ever had a problem with it tripping the supply was on one site in France which only had an iffy 6amp supply. We did store it in its box but now we just put it under the seat with the duvet etc. and never had a problem. Ours was only a cheap one, I think around £15 from Aldi and been very reliable and functions equally as well as a more expensive one we used at home.
In hindsight we should have got the one with a hinged lid - always looking for somewhere to put the lid safely when checking or removing the contents from the bowl

Now that I totally agree with. I usually have to stand there holding the lid while DW gets the food out of it, but thats only in the tent, at home the lid has its own stand. So in your caravan it might not be too much of a problem. As for power consumption, even ours which is quite large only uses 1700watt which is about the same as most fan heaters, so providing your not using any other high wattage appliances at the same time you should be fine with a 10amp hook up.
We have an Andrew James digital one with hinged lid and it's so worth paying the extra for, it must be our 4th or 5th halogen oven in 6 years.
Don't let that alarm you though as we use it at home too so rarely use the big home oven, would guess we get around 400-500 hours of use before they die and whilst one or two may have only been the bulb I'd rather replace a £50 item out of warranty and beginning to look well used than pay £15 to fix it.
