Were new to camping having just purchased a new tent, we now looking at what we need for a weekend away.
Can anyone recommend a good lantern that can be recharged, there are obviously lots around from the likes of Go Outdoors, Decathlon etc but has anyone got advise as to how many lumens is ideal for a 5 man tent such as the Vango Solaris 500 ?
When you camp do you do you normally have EHU?
If so, have you thought about just using an electric light. You can make it up yourself, a cable with a lamp holder with a big clip to grip something. (Wilkinson sells the kind of thing), an energy saving bulb and a cheap metal shade from B&Q.
That's all I did.
Outwell Carnelian at 600 Lumens is about the best of the bunch at the moment, priced at £25 in GO.
The Carnelian runs of 6 x D Cells, Aldi and Lidl often have rechargeable D Cell's at £1.50 each, invest in 12 of those, and the Carnelian Lantern will always be glowing.
