Wonderful things! If we are touring or staying anywhere less than 4 or 5 days we always use it.
It's up in 3/4 minutes and if you have one of the end walls then that takes about 5 minutes extra.
The only downside is that it may need 2 of you to roll it up. Depending on length, obviously, they are quite heavy but the answer is to position yourself and your steps in the centre and walk up the steps as you roll it up.
Sounds complicated but well worth it

Thanks DaveS1
Do you leave it attached but rolled up whilst on site but not in use = does it flap against the caravan? Where do you keep it when not attached to your caravan?
It's taken off for the winter months and kept suspended from the garage rafters by 2 little loops of rope
As for usage, for example, we have just come back from 4 nights at Cheddar and the unit will now stay on for our trip to France in June.
Only if we are expecting "guests" will it be taken off and replaced with the awning
No, it doesn't flap against the caravan.
One other advantage is that your car boot or caravan is not full of poles and canvas.
Sounds like I work for Fiamma -- don't though!

Hi again,
I didn't realise you can leave it on while the caravan is being towed!
We've just bought one (a Caravanstore) from another member on here - used it last weekend and we're completely delighted with it! So easy to use / erect / put away. It's a two man job but very straightforward. I'd post a photo but I can't work out how to
Little Sole ... that looks terrific.
We have a Fiamma F45S on our caravan, which works wonderfully well.
I realise it's a different model ... but I can thoroughly recommend Fiamma roll outs' quality and build.
I bought a sun canopy last year I think it was about 90 quid, you just pull it through the awning rail put a couple of poles up and guide lines takes a few minutes.
Same taking it down and if it's wet just dry it out when your back home.
We have a Fiamma we bought secondhand.
It wouldnt replace our awning as only use it when we know weather should be good.
We have had to take it down if winds have picked up especially near the coast. It can flap against van in exposed areas which we solved by putting a small sponge between it and van, ( constant tapping at night kept hubby awake!)
Saying that we are taking it on our french journey this year for shade as easier when site hopping.
Regards
Next time your van is serviced get them to make an opening in the awning rail high up at front or rear of the van. This means you can slide it on/off the van without unrolling it.
Best thing we ever bought, recently bought two end panels.Sold other awnings, not needed now.
We have just bought one of the new Westfield roll out awnings. It has a roof and front part that roll out from the bag attached to the awning rail and then there are two sides in a separate bag that can be attached. It is less expensive than a Fiamma caravanstore that we had before this. We had thought of buying sides for it, but was going to work out quite expensive.
