Hi there looking for recommendations to replace my concertina kitchen stand and an annoying fiddly aluminium table I have next to it! My criteria is
1- really quick and easy to put up I fed up with fiddling .
2- Has a windbreak and shelves but not larder as I have another unit that ticks that box
3- more workspace than storage if that makes sense?

Any suggestions greatly received !

How about this?

Or this?
http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/aluminium-kitchen-stand

Both with one of these: http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/vango-kitchen-windshield-for-camping-stoves

I can't give a personal recommendation as don't own either of those particular ones but, I do have a similar stand with side table and under larder and it's quick to use, plus the winshield for when using a suitcase stove.

It depends on your budget too... or you could use an aluminium topped table perhaps? We sometimes only take ours when doing a weekend camp and cook on that to save space and time.

Does the Vango windshield work on non vango kitchen units?

I didn't look in to all the links, but one thing just from a practical point of view to consider, is the type of top. I got one with aluminium slats rather than a solid top - pain in the butt, fiddly to install and things fall down through the slats. Whatever you get, get one with a solid top instead.

Oh, I don't mind the slats Campernic - although on the table I do use a tablecloth as ketchup is murder to remove!

Re: the windshield - if you look hard enough, you'll probably find that most of the gear from different brands is all very similar in size (probably the same factory!); the non-Vango windshield will probably fit a Kampa etc (ours certainly weren't from the same family).

Just check the dimensions and you should be fine

Happy shopping and let us know what you choose.

These are really easy and fast to assemble:
Sunncamp Superlite

The end basket is great as a bin, when lined with a carrier bag (just drop used tea bags etc in it when making cuppas on the worktop).

You can use the side table or just fold it down if and when you don't need the extra worktop space.

We had one and only reason we didn't keep it was we needed one with a larder cupboard. From personal experience I can say it's one of the best kitchen stands we've had; it's lightweight and comes with a zip-up storage bag. We did have to buy the windshield separately, though.

It's a great price at the moment too and with free shipping via that link (am tempted to get another, myself! )

That's like the one we now have (bought for a great price at Millets a few years back). It has a fabric larder that sits below the cooker, but lacks the net basket on the side but, does have a net sling beneath the side table for odds and ends. I tie up a bungee across the front to hold kitchen roll.

There are so many to choose from aren't there, each with pluses and minuses...
