Has anyone got one of theses chairs?

Is it any good? lots of the reviews on Amazon seem to be from people who have received one for free!

I have space in to car issues, and can't decide whether to get one of these or just sit on the Icey Tek!
I do have a lovely large folding seat, but would have to choose between taking that or one of the kids!

I've got one being delivered in the next few days. We've been hankering after a helinox chair for a while but too expensive. These look the same design.
Go outdoors have something similar for £45 which we have sat on and I found it quite comfy (6'3" 95kg). It's not going to replace our big chairs but the pack size and weight for taking to a picnic etc can't be beat - for that I'll sacrifice a bit of comfort.

The go outdoors one has a canvas base that should stop it digging into the ground that seemed quite neat but I didn't think it was worth the extra £20.

I'll update when it arrives

Thanks, I saw the Go outdoors one with the extra ground sheet bit, I can see the point of it, but like you said is it worth an extra 20. You can buy 'big feet' for chairs, might look at that too!

So the chairs have arrived.

Can't really fault them for what they are.

Packed up they are small! Maybe half a shoebox size. And they really are very light.
Putting the frame together is very easy - the bungee cords sort of help it fall into place. Stretching the chair material over the frame is not the easiest and takes a bit of brute force, hopefully this will ease up a little over time (or maybe I'll find the right knack)

They do appear low with the seat probably about 25cm off the ground. I find them fine but getting up and down might be difficult for some.
I find them comfy to sit in. The back doesn't come up high so there's no head support but the angle on the seat is good and it sort of shapes around you as you sit.
I still think they look like they will bend but they don't and they actually feel sturdy and appear to easily take my 95kg.

We've got these as picnic / beach chairs and to leave in the car on a permenant basis (notwithstanding sinking into mud and sand - but I'm going to try The Pringles lid solution for putting under the feet - just got to eat 4 tubes of Pringles ;-)).

I'm very pleased with our purchase - and so much cheaper that the helinox chairs I have been stalking for some time.

I came across a bike camper that used one of those Helinox chairs when I was up in the Lake District two years ago.

He highly recommended it for its compact pack size, however, he had to make some sort of plates to prevent the feet from sinking into soft ground.

Just had three of these delivered for festivals and the like. We've got big folding chairs with armrests, drink-holders & so forth but they're a pain to carry around.
I reckon these will be just the ticket. Thanks to Jennysligo for spotting them and TeamDashy for the reassuring review.

I put them up by putting the fabric over the back poles in their final position then inserting the seat poles into the fabric before putting them into the frame which seems to work fine. I imagine they'll get easier with use too.

Yep I bought one, thanks to TeamDashys review. The frame really does 'pop' together, had a little trouble getting the fabric on first time, but it does get easier! I put the top on first, then lay it down and push the poles while pulling the fabric over.
Really comfortable too!
