I've been looking for a carpet for our Yellowstone falls. Obviously no way I'm getting an out well at this late stage so looking at alternatives that might fit. I came across a couple of old threads that recommended Higear, gellert, etc but the threads were a few years old and obviously quality, specs etc change as new models come out.
So my question is, which brand now is a good buy? Thick and fluffy, not thin and fuzzy felty-y?
Try easycamp. They are the same company as outwell and sizing is similar.

We've just sold our Gelert carpet, and I have to say that the quality was much better than current Outwell ones, even the 3 layer which is what we replaced it with
Ours was a Gelert Corvus 5+2, about 4x4m and a sort of blue/grey colour, though I appreciate you might prefer the chestnut colourway. Not sure about the quality of current Gelert carpets, but we sent our 3 layer back (it had a manufacturing fault), and bought 2 of the old style brown circle Outwell carpets from Outdoor Action (3x3m) for £20 each. Still no where near as good as the Gelert, but not as bulky and will look great in our Harrier
If your nifty with a needle, two of these could be made to fit your tent main room, and would be very comfy. This is what we had, but in the other colourway....
Thanks so much for the info guys. I went for the one form outdoor action. Will not quite stretch the whole width but that's mainly under the wardrobe area. The colour should go great. And can't believe the price, that's cheaper than loads I've seen used!
It was actually a member of the Outwell owners club on FB that pointed me in the direction of the carpets on Outdoor action, after I'd complained about the quality of our 3 layer one.
Should have enough left over when I've finished with the two I have for one for the bedroom
Won't cover all of it, but enough for us getting out of bed.
Glad you're sorted
Can't afford an Outwell carpet for our Montana 6 and spent ages looking for alternatives but they seemed equally extortionate. Eventually decided that a waterproof backed picnic rug would do if I could find one big enough! Really needed something 4m x 3.8m to cover the living area and something that size is like gold dust. Well, I found it! If you like green tartan then this picnic rug at 4m x 3m is just about enough to cover 90% of the living area in one go! QD stores have it stock and mine is on order. Find it here http://www.qdstores.co.uk/products/garden-outdoors/beach-equipment/picnic-blanket/........
Haven't tried it yet but for £20 it's got to be better than nothing....
