I am finding it really difficult to find a junior size air bed, I have one I bought 3 years ago, 134 cms long, now I need another for child number two. I have tried Argos, Milletts, Blacks, Barrretts of Feckenham.....no joy? Can anyone help?
would the junior ready beds, with barbie or spiderman on them be any good? I know they're meant for indoor sleepovers , but used with a good sleeping bag as well, and it would already be insulated with the barbie /spiderman sleeping bag under them.
Hi they are selling the junior 'ready beds' at Argos for £16.99 - as beefysmum says they already have a sleeping bag with them. Argos have an offer of half price pump if you buy the 'ready bed', and they have adult sizes on the same offer too!
I would just buy a full sized airbed for Child No1 and move the little airbed down a child. Unless there`s a problem with space? Our kids grow so fast that junior versions of stuff don`t get much use in our house.
Thanks for your thoughts, I'm afraid moving child one on to an adult size is not an option because child 3 has to fit in as well in his travel cot!! I think we will have to go with the ready bed as suggested although they are 16 cm longer than our present junior air bed, as you can imagine space is tight. We have had a bob the builder ready bed previously and it didn't survive for long!
I'd still prefer to get a proper (you know, heavy duty red and blue with integral pillow bump) air bed if poss.
Why not buy self-inflating mats for the kids? Much narrower than an airbed, less hassle to put up, don`t need any sort of extra insulation, last longer as very difficult to puncture, just as comfortable (according to my kids and Hubby) and you could fold the end under to fit the tent, or tuck it under the travel cot. And they don`t roll off them at night. I just bought two for my kids, at £18 each at my local camping shop.
