I am a newbie here and to Caravan owning. We have just purchased a Bailey Ranger 500-5 2001 model. It is not in bad condition but does need some replacement parts. Both outside and inside. Outside we need a front storage locker door as it is cracked and broken near one of the hinges. Number plate lights both in bad condition, possibly one whole and one cover. Inside we need a table top, wall repairing so possibly new wall board, a new sink in the bathroom and a kitchen sink and possibly a new Fridge. The Fridge at present is very dirty and has not been used for some time. I am not sure it will work but have not tried it out yet.
Not to mention that we intend to update the interior, lots of ideas from posts on this site already.
Where are the best places to go to get spare parts. Is there a one stop shop or is it best to shop around for the different parts and what about the manufacturer or will they be very expensive?
Any help at this very early stage would be greatfully received.
Thank you

One place you could try is Leisure Shop Direct for some spares and for various lights you could try PIK Trailer Spares. If like my caravan (1999 model) some parts are now obsolete so may have to contact a few breakers depending on what you are looking for.
For a caravan of that age the only place you will get large body parts as you require are from a breakers. Small bits like hinges, taps interior/exterior light fittings etc are common to all makes & large caravan shops will have shelves full of that. Chassis parts, brake spares etc are no problem as these are common to all makes of caravan as well.
Fridges are expensive so you need to hope yours works. To run on gas clean out burner. If it don't work on mains then suspect element. This can be diy replaced. If Fridge don't work in any mode then coolant could have leaked out meaning scrap fridge. New about £400 plus fitting.
Well now I'm really hoping the fridge works if they are so expensive. Thanks for all the tips. It is really helpful and reassuring too to know there are lots of folks out there refurbishing their caravans.
