Our current camping chairs (Royal Commander) whilst really comfortable if a little bulky and heavy, are due for a change but have always been a pain in respect of their height when sitting at camping tables. Whilst I appreciate that tables will vary, has anyone discovered a chair that is the right height for their table?
Any advice appreciated!

Director type chairs are best for using at a table but not so good to relax in, I don't use them myself anymore I have folding chairs from Quest these were a little low for the table so I cut an inch or so of the table legs

No... I use some foldable aluminium stools/tables for sitting at table for eating, and then withdraw to the camp chairs for digestif and a snooze Stool then becomes camp pouffe. I can't stand feeling like Goldilocks and risking a dinner deluge
We ate in the awning on Saturday using the caravan table.
My chair is a steel frame black Isabella director style, and for me the height was about right.
My wife used an aluminium framed isabella recliner and found it a tad low.
On balance the director style is for us the best option, they arenot bulky but being steel framed they are heavier than the aluminium recliners. I think we paid £20 for the director style chairs.
Seems to be a universal problem! I, like everyone else perhaps, want something that is comfortable to eat at the table in and also doubles up as my bridgeywidge chair! You'll appreciate, as tenters, even though we have a trailer, I just cannot justify three chairs; comfy day seat, recliner AND a dinner table chair...guess it will have to resort to the extreme of the hacksaw! OR ditch my current stock and consider something like the Outwell Duncan? Will have to take the table to the shop to make sure....

Kampa do a folding table with stools that pack away inside that we now use for meals, and we then take chairs and like mentioned above then the stools double as a pouffe. Make sure you get the kampa version though because there is an identical set where the stools and table set up is so low it's like a child's patio set!
I think my stools/tables/pouffes might be similar to those in the Kampa set Cathun: they're actually one of my favourite bits of kit and fold flat so don't take up much space.
My OH would love a recliner but we don't have the space and they make me feel like I at m 80...
Good luck and have fun finding your optimum seating arrangement!
Have the outwell jasper chair it does take up some space but it very light weight. Did also buy the footrest to use it as a recliner and it is very sturdy, only issue is that have to put your legs on each side if you are using the footrest as don't trust putting my full weight on the footrest alone.
Even use it in the garden during the summer as a recliner.
Did buy them as oh was moaning about not sitting probably at table.
We take recliners with us, but also have a couple of cheap (£5 each) folding chairs from Ikea, called `Gunde`. They are very light and take up little space. They have lasted 4 years so far.
Take a tea tray with you that fits across the arms of the chairs then you won't even need a table. You can also get knee trays or TV trays which have a bean bag attached to the bottom and designed to rest on your knees.
Chairs and tables come in different heights so perhaps it would be a good idea to buy them to match initially, or take the chair along with you when buying a table...pot luck if you buy online although the table measurements are usually given.

Same here I found the perfect chair for my needs and cut the table legs shorter to make them even more perfect.
We have these chairs and found they were good enough to eat at the table on, only problem is they are quite wide so we couldn't comfortably get two side by side round our table but the kids had stools so wasn't a problem.
