I am planning to camp in the New Forest but note that the Camping In The Forest site that I prefer to use doesn't have hook-up.

Can anyone advise me whether a 100w folding solar panel would run the electrics in a folding camper for a week during September when there may not be too much sun, especially being a wooded site which will reduce the direct sunlight even more than usual.

I don't plan to take a TV so it is only for van lights, phone charging etc

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

If van lights are LED you should be fine. Probably 1 hour of sunshine a day on average will be plenty. Especially as you can point the panel at the sun. Ours is 40w and it's plenty even using the TV, we are in Spain mind lol

Dont leave lights etc on. Dont charge the phone in the van use the car to charge them.

What about hot water? that uses battery power and some fridges also use a small amount of battery power.

Keep an eye on the voltage, if it drops connect it to the car to recharge it?

The car will put a whole days worth of solar power into a battery in minutes.
