Thinking about getting a Teppanyaki just wondered how many people use them, if they are worth getting and what sort of things do you cook on them. Was originally going to get a cadac but the small one is too small for us and we haven't really got enough space for the big one. Plus a Teppanyaki is so much cheaper😀

We were away 2 weeks ago and lots of people had them I asked my neighbour who was using one and she said it was brilliant. A friend of mine had her full English going on hers in the awning, she had the baked beans in a foil tray warming up on there too, I'm definitely getting one for my hols.

We have an extra long Vonchef teppanyaki grill (90cm) & use it a lot at home. Even do noodle/bean sprouts for stir frys on it.
Great fun everyone gets to cook their own thing i would imagine would be great for camping too, either for 1 to cook meal on for the family or maybe for all to cook their own?
Ours is the XL but presume if space it tight that the normal size would do for camping.

We have one and it is great for camping its an Andrew James had a few years now, cooked breakfast is easy, burgers, chicken, stir frys etc etc it is very versatile and a healthier way to cook.

The XL version is 68 cm x 23 cm and a good size for camping for 4 + people.

We have a small one for the two of us. Got it from Lidl a few years ago for £15. It works well but you do need to check out the wattage and what your site output is. Cooks steaks, sausage, burgers. lamb steaks and chops very well. We have two silicon rings for eggs and PANCAKES!!! Have also done ratatouille in a foil container.
Very handy, light to carry and easy to clean and for the money we paid it was a no-brainer really.

Anyone know where I can buy one. Andrew James have gone into administrations and I really want a teppanyaki grill.

Reviews of other brands for camping are not good. What do you suggest?

Quest make one,Go Outdoors and Ebay have them.
Only 750W so ideal for a caravan.
We have one in our caravan, it is quite lightweight. We no longer take a barbeque with us, we use the electric griddle instead of a bbq.
We take it to France/ Spain with us, it is easy to set up and clean, which is brilliant.
And, it doesn’t need gas or charcoal.

We have one - use it most days while away in whichever country we happen to be in. Great for meats, veggies, frozen packet meals (France). Using a small pan we have heated beans, tinned veggies, tinned soups. we always use outside as it is usually too hot to be inside the van during the day.

Ours does slope towards the front so we have chef rings to fry out eggs and pancakes in.

Search for 'electric grill' or 'electric griddle'.

I've just bought the Kampa one online for £26.99 from Attwools Outdoors, in Gloucester and it looks identical to the Andrew James one except there are no wooden spatulas.

Agree with all of the above. have had ours now for around five years which we bought from Lidl or Aldi. Non stick and easy to clean, I wipe it down with kitchen roll whilst still hot.
Ours is a table top one, but I think the newer models from Aldi/ Lidl come with a stand.

(Looking forward to being able to go to the site again...)

Stay safe 😀

I had a problem with the damage caused to mine during delivery. I contacted Attwool's and had a quick response from Anna who sorted it out very efficiently, so I can recommend them and their customer service is great. Well done.
