Well, we tried it out this weekend at a festival...watched Father Ted at half past midnight in the car...very surreal! Then Lewy watched 'The Mummy' and then he and Freya watched more Ted whilst I packed up! FANTASTIC! AND the car started first time so no eating all the juice ;)

If anyone is interested, Asda at York are selling a DVD player for £20, they're only about 10 inches by 6, and top loading so they'll go nicely in a caravan.
Managed to get one last Friday before the offer ran out.Only had chance to try it out today - well impressed, and now thanks to stackridge I've 'hacked' it and it now plays Region 1 as well - so I'm even more impressed
Thanks Mitsy for bringing this to our attention - I've been looking for a reasonably priced portable player for ages to take camping & for hubbie to watch in bed!!
Dont worry if the offer has run out...save yer money cos they have these offers in Argos from time to time...like my digital camera, I saved then the offer ran out so I waited and it went down to £80 at easter instead of the original sale price £90!!! I think the larger screen DVDs will be a good price soon. Also, I would keep an eye out for Index reducing prices if there stores are closing (or changing to Argos)
