Hi, we are new to this, we only have a single electric tow bar, so our leisure battery won't charge in transit, is there either a splitter for the tow bar or is there a way of charging from the mains? 😊Thank you in advance

If your outfit has mains hook up there should be a charger fitted. Alternatively you could remove the battery and charge it at home. You could also install twin electrics on the car to charge the battery whilst on the move. A bit more information about your outfit might help to answer your questions.

Welcome to caravanning :-)

You need to upgrade to a single 13 pin socket or twin 7 pins.
Right now as well as your battery not charging, the fridge wont work, if you have an Alko ATC stabiliser on the caravan that won't work and the fog & reversing lights wont work (illegal)

If you're going to the effort of changing the car to twin electrics, I'd strongly recommend making the upgrade to 13-pin on both car and 'van instead.

One better-designed plug with water resistance and proper latching - what's not to like?

I did our FC myself — very worthwhile.
