The family 4 children 8 14 17 19
2 adults .. Won't go there.
So have decided to take up camping this summer, as we can't afford the extortionate prices holiday camps are charging .. I've Perronporth Cornwall basic caravan for 6 nearly 1800 for a week ..
Anyway
I've been looking up and have gone to go outdoors looking for an 8 man tent , also saw a couple on eBay that are around the 200 mark
What is the max some camp sites take .. I have also read not to use a blow up bed.. I have to buy all this by the way , I don't even have a torch lol but what to do it on the cheap .. Can anyone give advice as to where to go , we are thinking next week if all turns out okay, and we manage to get one off eBay today.. I have looked at camps but want to stay close to home so Kent with play areas and a nice pool shop ext .. Still like my creature comforts .. Please any advice would be great..I am also thinking of taking duvets instead of buying sleeping bags as this can start getting extremely expensive and we need to keep cost to a min.. Thanks again
Where to go - have a look on Camp Site Search, choosing your area and requirements.
Pitch sizes will differ from site to site and sometimes within a site, but if they're not obvious from the site's description, reviews, or their own website, you'll often find a "Send Booking Enquiry/Email" option.
Yes, duvets should be fine, although they tend to be rather bulky to pack (consider vacuum bags, possibly?), and many other household items will be suitable if not too heavy or bulky.
We have a people carrier , so we are able to transport and as tents come in bags even better
I've been looking around the house for cheap alternatives to camping gear and they way I'm going, I'll be taking the kitchen sink at this point lol. I've looked up cookers but they only seem to come with two Hobbs that would be a complete nightmare for me having never done this b4.. I really quite excited about the whole prospect .. Seen some pots pans on eBay for 10 pounds oh and a kettle The rest seems to be quite expensive and will have to be Somthing for a later date..What would you say is the most important things for us to buy, we are thinking a 2 TO 4 day depending on how the whole thing goes, but I am really up for it,and finding an alternative for not being able to take the children away has pushed me on even more .

Weare thinking this one or this one
If you're not bothered about having new stuff, try Ebay or camping groups on Facebook...sometimes people sell complete set ups with everything you need included. Then you can replace things bit by bit as you go along but it's a good, quick, and probably cheaper way to get yourselves set up and camping in a short space of time.

That's what we thought, the 200 pound one, I've been posting on FB but people are just selling dome tents
