I have a Lider Seville trailer and just wondered if any one locks their latch that closes the tailgate. It's only about a 2 - 3mm hole can't really see a padlock fitting, can't really imagine anyone trying to get in, but stranger things have happened at service stations. I do have some tiny tie wraps, maybe they would do :)

That's interesting, I thought the ABS Lid would be lockable, I have the Lider Alicante and the ABS Lid does have a lock, although it is more about preventing the Lid from popping open than security, as I recon any old small key, would have the lick open in seconds.

When the Trailer is parked up over night, I thread one of those Alarm Sounding Padlock's through the fitting on the tail gate, so if someone does have a mess about, an alarm will sound.

The lid is lockable its the latches that attach the tail gate to the sides of the trailer, just noticed little holes in them and wondered if they were for locking.

Ah yes, I now know exactly what you mean, I got some stainles steel machine screws, from memory about 30mm in length, and I guess 3mm in diameter or so, with hex dome head, although the head is not relevant.

They do prevent the lever from being pulled open, and to the untrained eye, they look as though they are fixed.

I just dropped them into the hole, and they have remained there for 8 years, they are a fiddle to get out so I don't often remove the tail gate.
