Firstly, apologies if you've read this on another forum.

I purchased a set of three of these things a few months back. The main unit plus two identical add on strip lights.

Now when they're all working in all their Glory they're running off mains when we're on EHU. They're connected to each other with the small grey coupling leads.

However we regularly go away where we're running off our battery. Next will be the middle of August and we'll be away for 4 nights. These things would be really as I spend a lot of time in the awning.

Question is, do any of you fellow owners of these lights know whether a 12v connection can be used and if so, where I can get hold of one that will work?

The Kampa Sabre 30 LED lights come with a 12v connector but not these. I searched online a few nights ago and found a similar conversation. One poster linked an eBay ad stating that bit of kit advertised is what was required. I now cannot find that conversation nor can I find the aforementioned ad.

On the other forum one guy is saying he doesn't think it's possible to run all three lights on 12v. Yet, another is saying he's built his own 12v contraption using a charging unit from an old drill! To confuse matters even more, a woman claims the lights use next to no power so if that's the case then I'm of the opinion it could. If no spark though so that would be a complete guess.

Does anybody have a definitive answer? Obviously I'm praying there is a way. Any help/advice/abuse is more than welcome!

Not sure if this will help but when I was looking at the 150 after a bit of research it looked like it was 240v only. Ultimately chose the next one down, the 48 as that came with 12v and 240v as standard and has been fine. Not saying you can't run 150 off 12v but there must be a reason why it doesn't include the 12v connector as standard unlike the rest of the range.

We have the Kampa 12 volt adaptor in stock, Kampa supplied them to me halfway through the season... I assume they work if you link all three... give me a call today on 01763262555... what's the worst that can happen, you try one and if it won't run all three you send it back to us...

Looking at the blurb, each strip draws approx 12w, so three will be 36w or 3A on a 12 volt supply. As long as Gary's adaptor can handle the current, everything should be fine.
