Not sure this would be big enough for both, but for the money I have found it a very handy lightweight table. I've used it for standing my portable gas bbq on, and it has been very stable. First impression was, it looks flimsy, but once assembled, a very useful table.
anything that is aluminium will be fine, even those back packers tables sat on top of your normal one would do the job, in fact that would leave you with a bit extra workspace

I use a slatted Ali one as shown by MrLB.......it is very stable and holds my Weber Q1000 and sometimes one of those potable single ring gas burner as well.

I do like those Lidds - we have stools along similar lines (I think smaller than the 'side' tables... they were cheaper anyway!) and are possibly my favourite bits of equipment.
Clearly there's a gap for something inbetween the backpackers' table and the Kampa ones above: with a rectangular roll-up or fold-up slatted top, and sturdy, stable legs.
