Hi there I am having problems in finding an awning I have a mardon dalesman 460/2 1991 I'm sure.. new to caravanning but have managed to find out that u measure an awning size by going from ground at the back to ground to the front this all in on my caravan is 860cm but keep seeing awning size 10 11 12 and so on jst looking for a bit of guidance on what sort to buy and proper size I'm looking for a full awning for my caravan..thanks in advance Paul.

Thanks a lot blueexpo97 the guide tells me size 850 or a size 9 so I'll be on the lookout for 1 much appreciated.ill get right on it just now and by text to speak you mean..? Apologies for sounding a tad thick

It's advisable not to go by the awning size as different manufacturers apply their own sizes accordingly. In other words as an example, a Bradcot size 10 could be a size 12 in a Dorema so always go by the cord length. That's probably why you have seen sizes 10, 11 and 12 because of the above reason.

Thanks tango55 well going with that mines from ground to ground is 860cm J take it stick to that and can't go wrong.

Now that you have confirmed that the awning length is 860 cms. if you click on the link below it will take you to the Dorema factory clearance. However, if you scroll down the page you arrive at the size chart and yours would be 850-875 cms. which is a size 9 in the Dorema range but at least it gives you a guide how to find out the awning size with each independent awning manufacturer.
