I'm looking for a 2 burner stove and grill where the grill actually works. The vast majority of reviews that mention the grill on a variety of options indicate that the grill is no good. Is anyone aware of a good unit with a decent grill?
I have found two options where the grill doesn't sound terrible (but its still not amazing), does anyone have any better suggestions than these two options?

With most of them the grill is just a burner tube which will brown the middle of a slice if you are lucky as the grill pan sits too far down anyway. We use the mesh box type stove top toasters. They are better. If you are thinking of grilling sausages and bacon, better to get a stove top griddle.

Not quite cheese on toast but I butter the bread and put cheese on the unbuttered side, sandwich together with another buttered slice and cook in a dry frying pan squashing down with a fish slice. (okay it's a fried cheese sandwich)
As for a gas stove with a decent grill - not found one yet but I did get better control over straight toast on my Campingaz Xcelerate using a diffuser and my folding toaster
After long experimentation and many disappointments, we found that a gas bbq could make excellent toast almost TOO quickly, and one with a lid (we use a Cadac) can be persuaded to do almost anything, up to and including sticky toffee pudding.
We have an earlier version hanging above our (kitchen*) stove right now!
Just place the buttered sides of the bread on the non-stick plates, put filling of choice in the middle, clamp together and leave on a gas ring for a few minutes each side.
The only gas stove with a good and reliable toaster option we've ever owned, was the Sunngas Grillmaster and/or Grillmaster Deluxe (we had both but parted with them when we were downsizing). I've never found anything since to touch them and really wish we'd kept them!
