Worst buy - round folding toaster  and camping stove with grill, the grill is useless.

Best buy - the Cobb. Full roast dinner with jacket potatoes and then something to keep you warm later on.

Empty gas bottle - free from tip! Exchange at useful hardware shop in the village for £13 - voila, new gas supply. Excellent. I think they're about 30 odd quid to buy new?

Best buy - our tent, it re-introduced us to the joys of camping last summer. 

Worst buy - still new to this and a friend gave us some of their old camping gear (gas burner, billies etc) so don't think we've really made one.

However, we did buy a 'double airbed' only to discover later it was really a kingsize and then needed a tent big enough to hold it!  It's really comfy though, so not really a bad buy. 

Also had one of those plastic fold-up tables with seats at the corners.  Collapsed with me on it first time we used it - but got a refund from the shop.
