Hi,

After searching, the last topic on this was in early 2015, so much has likely changed, so I'm after some advice.

I'm looking to get an inflatable sofa and chair. Looking around amazon, ebay, argos etc. the reviews for all of these seems to be quite damning with generally 50% of people saying poor quality, deflates etc.

I was looking at the Vango sofa, but this got bad ratings.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vango-Inflatable-Camping-Sofa-Green/dp/B00R4V3096/ref=sr_........

The intext sofa and bed seemed to fair a little better on teh reviews. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AW7FQEQ/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&........

This looks ugly and has no reviews https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bestway-Deluxe-Air-Sofa-165/dp/B0179U6G92/ref=pd_sim_sbs_........

Does anyone have any advice or a good experience or a good place to buy? I'd rahter spend more for something that will last than £30 on somethign I need to blow up every night.

Thanks

No idea, but we saw a family up Dunstable Downs sitting on an inflatable sofa, very difficult not to burst into fits of laughter!

Something else to re-inflate daily....

Flawed concept imo, that's a lot of air to be sat on. I wouldn't bother however much you spend it will be a Waste of money and last a couple of camps before ending up in the bin.

I'm actually looking at it for home use at Xmas, alongside possible camping use. We could do with a small portable sofa that we can put up and down quickly for a few days.

I'm not adverse to pumping it up every few days as we do that with the airbed, but I don't want one that deflates as you sit on it!

Had the Vango one, lasted less than 1 day and would never even go down that route again.

Funny you should mention Christmas because last Christmas I ended up without a sofa having sold the old one and the new one not yet arrived, so I rushed out to Argos for an inflatable one which came with a special offer of a cheap pump.

The first problem was that the supplied pump was not man enough to inflate the sofa fully so back to Argos again for a different pump. That one did the trick but throughout Christmas day it was apparent that my sister in law was getting closer to the floor by the minute. She had eaten rather a lot of mince pies but I don't think her weight did it...it had sprung a leak! We ended up sitting on cushions and both the sofa and the pump went back to Argos for a refund.

I don't seem to have much luck with inflatables.

We took one of these to France this year as an experiment so we went cheap:

Great for the kids they loved it, but really hard to get out of for adults (you had to roll out). Needed topping up with air every day but didn't fully deflate.

Will use next year but if it breaks would probably try a different design next time.

We had the intex sofa too. It lasted well despite having dogs jumping onto it (one of which was a retriever) so that would get my vote. Did have to re-inflate but not daily

We got an Aldi one last year for summer camping. Kids loved it. Was OK for me, but would only really be good for one adult at a time. Hubby would have been too big for it.
Needed pumping up every day but didn't deflate particularly while we sat on it.

Was fun, but not worth paying a lot for.

Was looking for a sofa but bought the intex empire chairs. Managed to get them on offer from tesco.
Does take some time to inflate but does hold air pretty well. Can be hard to get out off but think they are all the same.
