Hi all I bought a new Nextbase 312GW dashcam and a hardwire kit , I have a 2006 Kia Sorento , and there is a fuse box in the driver footwell and another in the nearside engine compartment , I want to know if there is any body out there who has done this , if so what fuse did they use ,

Use the footwell one, depending on how you want to use it.
Personally i would choose a fuse thats live with the ignition on only.

If you want it to be on when the ignition is off then you want to wire to an always live circuit.

Does your stereo have a mode where it shutsdown after one hour if the ignition is off? That will be ignition live and a good point to connect it to.

Use a piggy back fuse and go on the one for heated seats this will then be live each time ignition on.Drivers footwall.

thanks for the reply , I want it to go off when I turn the engine off , but the Sorento handbook does not say which fuse is live or dead when the ignition is off ,

if using a fuse tap ensure you insert it the correct way round in the fuse box!
