Damian. Tent a sig but the awning doesn't so that would be the best place for you. £1 a day is good, you can never put a price on cold beer lol. I'm with you on the camping gas price compared to normal calor butane, I might get a 4.5 or something calor when my camping gas cylinders run out, I've got the biger size one and it seems to last for ages. But we don't plan on going abroad anytime soon so no reason to not get calor.someone once tried telling me that camping gas lasted longer than calor butane, no idea if there is any truth in that though. The half a cylinder that we took to northumberland last summer lasted ages and there is still lots of gas in it.
Actually, you know what Damian, after i wrote that i realised what id read somewhere. Camping gaz has a lower flow rate than calor butane, yes its the same gas, but as the camping gas has a lower flow rate then im sure i read a 907 lasts as long as a 4.5kg butane on full flow.
Of course they do cost more per refil, but you can save on space a bit.
Ill have to see if i can back what ive said from somewhere lol :)
In theory that's true, but a gas appliance on a regulator only takes what it needs to run. The pressure on a calor regulator and campingaz (if my memory is correct because it's raining and cold so I cant be bothered to check the shed) is pretty much the same anyway.
I could be wrong and will admit if I am but I've noticed my appliances last about the same time per kg of gas regardless of source.

oh no, on price calor must win hands down and its something i may look at getting when both my campinggas cylinders have run out, which might be a while as we are only getting away in the tent once a year atm. Im 35
Yeah, definitely a good idea. As mentioned before, try second hand sites or your local recycling centre for the cylinder instead of paying calors silly prices to 'hire' one
