I have the above dish and it works flawless, at the weekend I set the dish up connected it to the caravan satellite socket in the wet locker. The integrated sat finder failed to work. I then tryed to do abit of fault finding and connected the box straight to the dish, still nothing. The last time it was used was in France and it was connected through the satellite socket in the wet locker. It worked brilliant. I was so confused why it wasn't working at the weekend. So I looked on Google and it said on their website the integrated sat finder is powered by the satellite receiver thought the coax. When I got home I again tried the dish and the sat finder turned on first time!! Why do you think it failed to work at the weekend? The box was powered up OK just like the test at home? I'm confused. TIA
Hi,
As daft as this may sound, did you have the receiver plugged in to an extension lead?.
Some time ago I struggled to get my freesat box to work, and no way would it connect after hours on a campsite.
My wife was actually checking on a forum and someone mentioned the extension lead.
They said it would not work unless it was plugged into a direct socket. B******r me, as soon as we done that we had a picture.
I have also pointed this out to at least three frustrated campers since, with instant success. All different freesat boxes.
Don't ask me ?,but it seems to work.
Regards,
Greg
We had the box plugged into a double adaptor, that didn't effect the box the last time we had used it. The box powers on ok but it's wasn't sending the power down the coax to power the integrated sat finder, I'm confused why this might be. Maybe the EHU was outputting enough power? I'm not sure. I'm away tomorrow for a week so I will see if it works. TIA
