The glass cover on the sink in our FC shattered last year and small pieces went everywhere, I bought a small cheap VC from Tesco around £20 bag less with hose and tools. Needed to reach into those difficult to get to areas down by the seats, back of the lockers etc, it worked a treat. Now lives under the seat.
We have a small 240 volt 1600 watt vacuum cleaner that we take with us and keep under the front seat but ours is the bagged type as I find they are cleaner and more convenient when the bag needs replacing rather than emptying scattered dust.
We bought an Argos own brand for £20 about 5 years ago and still going strong. it looks very similar to the one in the link below.

We have got one exactly the same but different a brand name which we bought from Argos in 2005. As it's only 600 watts power it is quite powerful but the added bonus is that I can use it plugged into my generator which enables me to vacuum the caravan out whilst in storage and takes up very little storage room.
I have looked everywhere (as a stand by replacement) with no luck and didn't think they existed anymore but they are an absolute brilliant piece of kit.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We bought a Max Featherlight from shop at ease on the net. They were advertised in the C.C. magazine. They are brilliant for about £30. All my mates at work who have caravans have also bought one. They bagless and, although it doesn't tell you this when you buy one, you can wash the filter in the washing machine. At home we have a Shark and a Dyson and the little Max is as good as them.Very impressive. We store it under the fixed bed in the 'van.
