Hi,
I have a Campingaz Camping Chef Vario stove which came with a Campingaz 907 gas bottle but I am finding this difficult to locate refills, expensive and does not last long enough so I want to change this.
I have been given a 7kg orange bottle with a regulator which has an inside diameter of 3.5cm will this work on this stove.

-------------
Thanks
Lawrence

Yes - should be fine. Just remove the Camping Gaz regulator from the stove hose and fit the one for the new bottle. The orange bottle should be propane with a screw in connection. I have done this myself with the same stove.

Not too sure what the 3.5cm refers to.

Thanks for getting back to me, the bottle is Butane, its calor bottle and until now I thought there was only blue or red.I have happy with Butane as its cheaper to fill and I am not going camping in the cold.

The 3.5cm was the hole in the bottom of the regulator where it attached to the bottle, it an old type with a retaining ring and the on/off switch on the top.

Thanks
Lawrence

Bottle sounds odd to me. What is written on it? If it is a Calor bottle then orange for propane blue for butane. You appear to be describing a clip regulator which would be fitted to blue 7kg Calor butane bottle. Same size propane bottle is 6kg orange with screw on regulator & Gas tap as part of bottle.

It's definitely Butane it has it on the bottle.
It could be an Irish one as I found it and the regulator in this video

Ah yes. It's an ROI Calor bottle with jumbo regulator. Ok to use but presumably only exchangeable for full there unless you can get them in NI as well?
