Hi I am not happy with my current kitchen set-up - the cooker is on a small folding table but there's no shelving or anywhere to hang things so everything is in a box underneath and its a bit of a pain to find things. All the other cooking equipment is on a roll-up table, but it is falling apart and is a pain to put together.

We have very little space in the car. I made the mistake a few years ago of buying a camp kitchen stand online without checking the packed dimensions properly, and we have never since been able to fit it in the car!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cooker stand / kitchen stand that folds down quite flat/small? I have read that the concertina ones aren't very stable and I have children, so I don't want to risk something that might topple over. Or has anyone ever done a DIY option using something else?
Thanks!

Go Outdoors Hi Gear compact double shelf kitchen looks good but only if your cooker has a built in windshield as the kitchen stand does not. It folds down nice & flat. If you wanted something with cupboards, the Airgo compact from Go Outdoors looks good, easy to pop up, and small enough not to take up valuable boot space. But again, no built in windshield.

Hi I have two of the Campingaz Camp Bistro small stoves (the ones that take the canisters of butane gas).
What I usually do is keep just one of the hobs out for making tea, and then get the second one out if necessary for meals. So no built in windshield on the cooker.... however we have an open awning attached to the tent so if the weather is windy or rainy I can cook in there.

(We do have a double burner stove but found the large gas canister took up too much space in the car and was an awkward shape to pack. I know the butane gas canisters are more expensive, but you can easily pack them into spare gaps in the car!)

I bought one of those too. Really pleased with it for the price.

We had one of these when we tented. Folded quite flat for travelling.

I just sold my one of those as my new cooker is just too huge and cumbersome for it but that would be fine for the OP
