After fitting extension sides, aluminium/wooden lid (much heavier than ABS lid) and gallery bars (see profile pic) as was really worried about all the weight on this 600kg max trailer. With all camp gear loaded: large 4 man polycotton tent, kitchen, storage, double inflatable bed, 3 way fridge and 2 gas bottles double cooker won't list everything but wife and I are official 'glampers'need I day say more, but only things not actually in trailer at the moment is 2 double sleeping bags and plates and clothes etc etc. Anyway after all the continuous warnings from people on here about "be careful not to overload it" etc etc I finally took it to the local Public Weigh bridge to finally put me out of my misery before we head off in a few weeks.....
Well I shouldn't have bothered worrying as it came in at 380kg so looks like theres room for 4 weeks worth of beer one week of wine and 4 nights of crisps when we head off for 4 nights down south west....
May even just fit the 2 bikes for show....
Anyway moral of the story? These little trailers hold A LOT!!! And if you feel urged to go get it weighed then it only cost me a tenner with a print out!!! Worried for nothing. So I was right to choose this little trailer rather than dream about a bigger plush more expensive one that turns out the two of us won't need. We take enough gear for 4-6 people!! Old 3 way fridge n all!!!
I have a lider Seville with side extensions and abs top (similar to 1150) rated to 600kg, empty it weighs around 200kg, once loaded it comes in around 550kg, but we do have a lot of heavy stuff, the tent complete weighs around 80kg! I might have to question the accuracy of my local weighbridge.....
