Went to camping shop yesterday and made an impulse purchase of a bradcot modulair 390 which we plan to add to next year. Never had an air awning before but are planning to take it to a local cl site on Wednesday have a go putting it up then we are away to France on Thursday morning. It came with a yellow pump with attachments to clip onto battery.
Just looking for any tips for erecting as its so different to our pyramid.

My top tip is to peg the edges next to the caravan before you begin to inflate. Get these two pegs ( one either side) nice and tight under the caravan to prevent draughts then inflate. Peg out the two front corners once inflated. Try to keep these perpendicular to the caravan. Then peg out the remaining pegs.
I love my air awning!

We have had our modul air 390 now for just over a month and have erected it about 5 times following all the tips given and as a 390 it's a useless heap of ......   But having spent over £1000 on it we just can't abandon it. I see the only way of getting a useable awning is to buy the other 2 sections to make a full awning at a further cost of over £600 .
Apart from the problems raised on the other thread about this awning, one of the big issues is that the Zips are a nightmare, there is not enough fabric to hold onto to be able to pull up the zipped sections, you have to hold it with grips. Feeling very frustrated after spending so much money on what we thought would be a quality product with ease of erection.
