Iv been looking online and it looks like the 2 berth ones will fit so we are going to buy one of those and adapt if necessary as i read a review and they mentioned doing something similar to your suggestion. I was abit worried as didn't want to fork out too much on an inner tent, iv got a bargain with the annexe as its new. We have gone back to a traditional style awning coz the air ones are thinner material and poorer quality.
