Depends on where you are. If you get good TV signal then this should be fine. The wand type antennas are not brilliant but do work OK.
Check reception from http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/ or use an app to find the transmitter strength where you are.
The quality of the cable and connections from the antenna to the TV really matter, make sure you have good quality stuff.
Make sure you are tuning to DVB (not analogue)as this is the only service in Uk now.

This is the link for the aerial that you posted.

Here

When you scroll down to the bottom of the page it states the following:
PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY DIFFICULTY WITH THE ABOVE.
Therefore I would suggest you contact the supplier with the problem not receiving a signal and ask them if you need a booster. Normally you do but it doesn't state anything regarding this in the product description.
The other solution is to buy an aerial designed for the outdoor leisure such as the 'Status' range aerials.

There is no such thing as a digital aerial
Omni directional aerials only work close to a VERY strong signal
An omni directional aerial recieves the signal you want plus every spurious signals from all around masking the wanted signal.
A booster amplifies everything, a boosted low quality noisy signal is still a low quality noisy signal

Absolutely agree. If you have no signal from the thing you've bought, an amplifier/booster will serve you absolutely no purpose. You need at the very least a relatively decent directional aerial, plus I'd recommend a signal strength meter to help you find the best signal to start with with, before you even bother tuning the TV in. If you have a smartphone, an app such as UK Aerial Alignment will be useful too.

Suprisingly, Toolstation of all places sell a relatively decent caravan aerial kit for about £25. I'd recommend the Fringe Electronics UHF TV Signal Finder too. When suitably kitted out, you should get the aerial setup and TV tuned in about 10 minutes.
