does anybody have any experience with the chinese copies of Eberspacsher/Planar diesel air heaters. i recently bought one and am having major problems firing her up.
The translation of the instructions are to say the least, confusing. So it may just be my lack of knowledge of "Chinglish" thats stopping me from being warm in the caravan.
In a nutshell, the fan in the unit starts, but the fuel pump fails to come on although when i disconnect the pump the control panel ( a dial and some lights and an on and an off switch) tells me there's a fault with the fuel pump, which leads me to belive that power is feeding to the pump when its connected. As I said, the instructions are somewhat baffling. Can anyone help.....pllleeeaaassse, it driving me bonkers.

Have you tried it with the EHU, my last MH had a webasto diesel heater and it needed a good strong battery or EHU
If the leisure battery was a bit low it took some time to get going

my first thoughts would be does the pump need priming? not really something I know about but after having a brand new home heating system with a pipe from the tank to the boiler that was too 'fat' for the pump to suck up enough fuel to get it primed it certainly is a possibility.

I know it’s not a webasto diesel heater but have you had a look on their website re troubleshooting

The leisure battery may be brand new but that doesn't mean that it's fully charged which means you are only going on the assumption that it has around 13 volts capacity. What you need to do is check the battery with a voltmeter first otherwise you could be going round in circles trying to identify something more complex which may just be a simple problem. If the battery is less that 12.7 volts then it needs charging up otherwise it can be an expensive mistake if you let the battery drop below 12.5 volts as quite often they need a special charger to re-boot the battery into action again.

24volt pump? Or is the unit struggling with 12v?

Got a link to the actual unit you bought?

How have you wired it? Not wired the pump backwards?

Checked the voltage whilst its actually trying to fire?

With the cost of the unit and fuel cost is it cheaper than gas heating?
