That's the first thing I thought Sam, how much stress does it put on the awning rail at the point of securing. If this proves to be not too much of an issue then I think I could be tempted. I also put our Rally Air Pro 390 Plus up single handed and it's a heavy old beast!!

Seen it in action at Easter at Cleethorpes.
My way of thinking is -
Awning gets stuck, will it rip the awning?
Marker lights, awning stops when it hits mine, will it continue and trash the light?

Or both.

Just looked at the vid, the guy i seen use one, was on the end of a drill?

I will stick to struggling with it by hand, and to be honest this van is the worst i have ever had threading a awning lol

We have just put up our Kampa 390 grande first time out.
We are in our seventies and having struggled to lift the bag into the car in taking it from the sales counter I ferared it would be a big problem setting it up. I went back to the store and bought some stuff to spray on the rail.
In the event ,yesterday, I sprayed the awning rail and fed it into the awning Chanel. I had tied some thick strong skipping rope through the eyelet on the end of the awning and my pushing up into the chanl and my wife pulling the rope did the job fairly easily. We were really pleased as we feared it might be too much for us. Neither of us are very strong.
I am sure it would be hard to do on ones own as the first bit edging up from the front is a slow process feeding it in in inches at a time.
We love the awning,best and easiest to set up I’m my long experience.
