We are in the market for a new caravan awning. We live in Liverpool and can't seem to find anywhere within a reasonable radius which has a decent number of awnings on display for us to look at. We are wondering if it is worth doing the trip to the NEC in a couple of weeks time to look at awnings. We have been to the shows at the NEC before but we were always looking at caravans so never really noticed if there were many awnings on display. We haven't decided yet between an air awning or a poled awning so really want to be able to see and compare as wide a range of different makes and models as possible. Is it worth the trip or does anyone know of anywhere closer to Liverpool where there is a big display of awnings?

Well its always a good day out anyway there will be plenty of choice and there may be other new products in other sections that you wernt aware of. When you consider how long you are there for its also a very cheap day out

There were plenty of awnings on display at Event City in Manchester Jan 2018. Glossop have a good range of awnings, air and poled, on display probably 60-90 minutes from Liverpool. When I bought my last awning I researched the internet and found a dealer who was prepared to price match the cheapest of my preferred one. There's lots of advise on the internet including pros and cons for air or poled awnings, I think it becomes personal preference. Its also good to find out if there are any extras that a dealer will throw in to clinch the deal.

We went last year and bought a Kampa air awning. Wasn't cheap but a fantastic awning. We got a free Kampa windbreak at the show that retails at £120 which we would never have bought at that price but was great to get this free.

If you aren't sure what you want there are many up and you can have a good look and make a choice. All different prices on show but basically you get what you pay for.

Worth for going in my mind.

100% worth going, lots to see and there are genuine discounts
We got 20% of list and a free electric pump
Searched all the online stores, nobody near 20% off

We are at NEC in 2017 lots of awning choice and experts on the products
