Has any body had trouble pulling a Isabella magnum awning through a awning rail of a swift conqueror 580 . My awning gets stuck where the roof rail meets the awning rail, never had trouble before with any of my caravans before.
What's the year of the caravan as the manufacturers all change their designs over the years, I can then have a look at Google images to see if I can see what it looks like.
I have had a look at some of the images but doesn't go close enough to see the actual awning rail. However, it looks like this is the new design which I'm not familiar with.
How far does the awning cord pull through before it jams and have you tried pulling the awning through the opposite way at all?
If it jams both ways then try something lighter such as the draught skirt (cord diameter should be the same size) so you can mark it with a piece of insulation tape (which is removable) to see exactly where the fault lies.
There appears to be a lack of answers to your problem therefore I would be inclined to start a new thread with the title: '2016 Swift Conqueror (Query)' as that way you will attract more interest with those that have that model. Having the title 'Awning' is related to just about any caravan so being more specific should gain some replies at least.
Just trying to help in receiving some feedback to your question.
Or just get admin to change the title of the topic.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I had an issue feeding the awning on the rail, it snagged where the roof rail joined the awning rail. Investigation showed a large blob of mastik sitting in the awning rail. Removing this solved the problem. By the by,to make pulling the full size awning less of a struggle, I use the silicone rail spray but also had an eyelet fitted to each end of the awning pull cord with 12 inches of suitable nylon chord attached, just makes pulling the awning a bit easier.
There is an awning rail brush you can buy for cleaning out the rail and also a tool to slide through to make sure that the channel is clear as well. I keep both in my tool kit and clean the rail out at the beginning of the season.
