Hello all, we took the plunge yesterday and bought the Cadac Grillogas from the NEC show. It looks a lovely piece of kit and I cannot wait to get started with it in a couple of months.
I unboxed it all last night and set it up to see how easy it was... turns to not too bad, although the legs will be interesting to master whilst on a campsite. But I'm sure it'll come with practice.
Anyway my question is, how on earth do I pack it all into the bag?
I have the pot holder, BBQ griddle, lid with handle & bottom, and can't work out how to get it all in that small bag??
Also, we have the paella pan & pizza stone but, whilst the paella pan has it's own cover, the pizza stone doesn't and again I'm not sure how to protect the stone as it seems quite delicate.
What does everyone else do?
Thanks

We have the Grillogas with the lid and paella pan. The lid and pan are seperate accessories and not part of the standard Grillogas so are not intended to go in the bag provided.. I bought a seperate bag from Bags for Everything for the lid.

we have just got one of these too from the Manchester show, was told/shown the lid fits on the outside of the bag under the straps. Don't know how long we'll leave it there as it's not protected from scratches unless you pop it in a carrier bag first.

Same here, we have kept the box for the lid, same reason don't want it to get scratched.
we can fit everything else into the bag. legs go in the car separately.

Had ours 3 years and love it, the only suggestion i would add is put a marker on the knob for turning it up and down, showing you which way is high and low, being a bit unsure because i'm getting older I have inadvertently turned it off a couple of times

This thread has piqued my interest, I am a dyed in the wool "charcoal" BBQ man, but, having read all the rave reviews, I could be tempted to get one for the 2 of us when out in the van, one slight problem, in some of the reviews people mention a "design fault" as in the plastic bush holding the gas canister can sometimes melt and dump the canister, has anybody any experience of this happening? If I buy one, which would people recommend? There will only be the 2 of us, sometimes 4 but not that often. Ta, Rob

Ours hasn't maybe that's been sorted, I saw that review just after we got ours. We use it quite a bit so easy to clean too.

We have never had a problem with ours and I dont see how the plastic coller can be set alight anyway. There is a metal plate and drip tray between the coller and the flame on our Cadac. Also, the Grillogas doesnt use a gas canister. You connect it up to either a gas bottle a gas hose and regulator or the external bbq point on your caravan. We are very pleased with ours. Slightly smaller than the full Cadac and ideal for 2 people. OH also says that there is nothing to compare with a charcoal bbq but the Cadac is great for a full english breakfast or a couple of steaks.

So, it would seem they`ve sorted it, I may just take the leap over to the dark side and buy one, but only for caravan use Thanks for all the input guys n gals. Rob

I’m going to have another go at packing it into the bag, with the lid on the outside just as soon as it thawed out enough for me to get it out of the shed!
