Just took delivery of our first caravan! An eldis xplore 435. Exciting times - we've two young girls so can't wait to get pitched up somewhere.
Anyway, I've been up at the storage yard having a proper shufty of everything and I notice there's a solar panel on the roof and a black box which is a steca "solar charge controller solsum 6.6f".
Now this may seem a daft question but does this mean that sunshine will keep the battery topped up?
When I attach the 12v battery it lights up.

Yes. It should charge your battery.   The controller should show green when it’s charging.

Great, thanks Boff. The dealer didn't mention it at all and it wasn't listed on any spec lists or online. They must've missed it.
I'll keep an eye on the controller and see what it does if/when the sun puts in an appearance.
