We've been plagued with alerts being sent from our new Lunar Clubman to Phantom at all hours of the day and night. It now turns out to be a fault caused by the strength of an automatic signal sent between the alarm system and the tracking system. The strength of the signal should be too weak to trigger an alert, but the fault means it is stronger than it should be. Phantom wasn't interested in our plight and told us to contact Sargeant Alarms. Sargeant said they were aware of the problem and they would send us a cable which they expected us to fit into the system to solve the problem...what customer service! We now have to take the caravan back to Grantham Caravans (more expense and inconvenience) for them to correct the defect. Still, at the same time they can get the central heating running properly, align the cupboard doors which look as if they've been fitted by a 10 year old and fit jacking points to the caravan. Who would have thought that a van costing over £25,000 wouldn't have those fitted as standard? Sorry Lunar, you could do so much better.
Hello, we don't have a caravan, but 2 of our friends do. It seems very hard to believe that Lunar are getting much right. We are Motor Homers and have 2 friends with Lunar caravans both new when bought. They have had so much trouble with them. Lunar have put the failures right, but both of those caravans were off the road for a long intervals of time. The reason Lunar had to put them right was because the floors were giving way, after just a couple of months use. I am not saying the were delaminating, the whole length of floor was giving way. If you are taking yours back, I would suggest you say to them the floor of your van seems to be flexing in places and would they check it out.
