Relatively new to camping. I have recently started adding to my supplies so that i can go away for longer/more comfortably. One thing i would really like it a table and chair set. I need something which will fold relatively compact so have been eyeing up the halfords table and stool folding set.
Anyone got any experience or comments on this?
I love the look of the lidl crivit one which looks much the same, just brighter colours rather than aluminium silver Unfortunately i haven't been able to find this in any of my local stores so am back to square one
I could just get a funky table cloth for the halfords one of course
Thanks for the reply. I've just edited to add that i can't find the lidl one in store, forgot to mention that.
Is it sturdy? That has been one of my concerns for both but the need of a foldable/compact one is more of a priority.
I think that promotion has ended although there were certainly still some in my local branch the other day. It seems robust enough to me after a couple of years use. I do use a different table for most of my cooking.
A table that has adjustable legs, so as to fit any ground variations, ensures that stability is good ... and is a must (imho), apart from that .... take your pick.
Dukdalf make excellent tables that are light, fold very flat and have adjustable legs. Be sure to buy furniture that it is of aluminium construction, not steel to manage weight.
For the past 20 years we have used a folding bench and seat set which folds into a briefcase type box. It is put up and put away in moments and takes little space when travelling. Suits us fine. There's always a spot where it sits comfortably!

The Decathlon table with folding stools is now a vibrant sea green. In other years they have done orange and lime green, and might still have these in tne shop. They also to a folding table with a lovely red top. Decathlon stuff is good quality.
I bought the Halfords one at the end of last season when they were selling off at silly prices. It is the one with the 2 metal full length benches plus the table.
it seems very well made, is compact and durable. the table is a good size for 2 people and perhaps 2 kids though a little tight for 4.
I use mine a little differently in that, due to a bad back I find the stools uncomfortable so I use the 2 stools as side tables. One along the top of the bed functions perfectly for books, mobiles on charge and so on, the other one elsewhere for glass of wine, book and so on.
My neighbours bought the Lidl one for their garden. For the price it is ok but it is nowhere near as sturdy or as well made and the little canvas seats are good only for kids or small people
