I have a Vango Anteus 600 tunnel tent. Its a nice tent, it does have a few disappointments, one of them being absolutely nothing to hang anything onto inside. Nothing on walls or ceiling.
Because we go to electric pitches I like hanging up these led lights we used to use in the house for the lighting, like christmas tree lights, as it spreads the lights around. But no where to hang them in this tent.
I was thinking the only option is to glue/stick some sort of hook/string hoops along the inside at certain distances like 1m apart, then maybe one in the middle ceiling for hanging light.
I cant find anything online specific for this purpose. Does anyone have any ideas?
Why not stitch velcro onto the roof of the tent making sure to apply water proofing to the stitching. You could then use velcro loops to fix the LED lights.
Will the lights not hang from the inner tent securing straps using figure of eight hooks, velcro loops or even bulldog clips?
I have the same problem in my tent although there is a central hook for a light and velcro loops to secure an electrical lead. Since I never keep the inner tent doors open I utilise the tie back toggles to hang light coats on.
"Will the lights not hang from the inner tent securing straps using figure of eight hooks, velcro loops or even bulldog clips?"
I could put the on the inner tent but thats too close to there. When the kids go to bed I might stay up a bit longer, I did not want the lights right over the inner tent, but the other side.
"The Anteus 600 has a lantern hanging point and also should have velcro straps leading up from the cable entry point to the hanging point. "
There is a hanging point at the back of the bedroom, but not in the main living area. There are some clips in the centre that the stabilising straps clip into, but nothing on it to hang anyone onto. I could tie some string or something around it, but wanted more hanging points that just one.
The double sided velcro may be a good solution, except I use that for various things in the house and sometimes things fall off, its not good for anyone that has much weight.
