Could really do with some advice. We are campers & normally use an electric hook up. We bought a very comfortable deep king size inflatable mattress with built in 240v pump which my girlfriend loves. Problem is that I’ve booked a ‘non electric’ pitch in August so we have no means of inflating the air bed. My girlfriend is now used to the posh air bed, so it won’t be well received if I have to dig the old double camping mat out of the attic!!! I was thinking that it might be worth buying a 240v car inverter which I could plug into the 12v electric socket in my car to allow me to inflate the air bed when I arrive at the campsite. Have any of my fellow forum members any experience of doing this & perhaps point me in the right direction of a suitable (& hopefully not too expensive) product. Don’t want to spend a fortune or get anything too sophisticated as it’s not likely to get much use. Thanks in advance. David

Is there any extra inflating port that you could use with a much cheaper 12 volt air compressor/inflator that utilises your car's cigatette lighter socket?

Dave.

I use one of these and a normal household mains extension reel so I can get 230v from the car to the bedroom pod. It's small enough to live in the car all the time and you can use it for charging laptops etc if you're out of other options.

Hi, thanks for replies. The air bed doesn’t have an extra inflation port so I cannot get away with using a 12v one. Thanks for Amazon link - looks ideal & I like the advice of using an extension cable so I can get the power to the tent bedroom. 👍
