Whilst camping last week the wind caught my tent as i was setting up, the flysheet was ripped by one of the fibreglass poles..   My tent was a coleman bi-space 400, the tent is still ok but i've been looking for an excuse for a while to buy another tent as it's a bit on the small sides there is a place that sells auto parts and also camping equipment ,  they have the gelert lokon vario 6 and also the sunncamp vario6.. the sunncamp is £276 and the gelert is £236..

The sunncamp is my favoured as it has the two roof lights and is a nice colour.  What i'm looking for is a tent with a good living area and and also bedrooms with a decent height..  The ideal tent for me would be a tunnel tent with 3 bedrooms ..one for storage.. I can get the sunncamp 6 for £210 from united british caravans...#

very grateful for any advice ...  cheers tooty

Hi Tooty

Have you considered the Campus Indiana 8, it's a tunnel tent with three bedrooms and my husband who is nearly 6 foot had no problems standing up (well, until he'd had a few beers

Has a lovely big living space and we found it a very cosy tent.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, meant to give you a link!

http://www.oswaldbailey.co.uk/eshop.asp?wci=product&wce=51109801&desc=CAMPUS+INDIANA+8+FAMILY+TENT&

also, it says it's got 2 bedrooms but it hasn't it's got three inner tents, one large one for four people (fits our double high rise airbed and space for dressing + bags) and two double rooms, big enough for two camp beds in each.

Gelert Lokon Vario 6 every time. We also liked the look of the Sunncamp but the LV6 is better made and can stand a lot of weather.Only problem we found with tunnel tents is they can be noisy if it is windy but they can withstand a surprising amount of punishment and they offer loads of space
