For transporting from a-b we used to use a 12v coolbox which was fine. The last couple of times we've used an insulated bag with freezer blocks which again worked fine and as it had soft sides it was easier to pack and we got more in.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Hi - thanks for info. I guess I was thinking what do people find works best overall. Sometimes we camp local (West Wales) sometimes we drive to France. We try and get EHU but that's not always available. The 12v in our car has fused garage man doesn't think it's worth repairing. How do you find packing the box with ice packs and then switching to either EHU or gas upon arrival? We had a little mini fridge for several years but it didn't store very much, noisy at night and not always cold. Just wondered how other people did it and looking for best practice.
Sorry to hijack the thread but We are thinking the same thing, have an Outwell electric coolbox but its about 3 or 4 years old and doesnt work as well as it used to. We usually have EHU but DH is a light sleeper and the noise means that we often switch the cool box off overnight.
Would be prepared to pay £80 for the right box but not sure if electric is the right option. Its on the list for next year now.
