Recently bought a Compass Corona caravan, all good so far but found a Winterhoff Robstop WS 3000 hitch lock in gas locker. A smashing find had there also been keys! Any ideas about way forward? Local locksmith said throw it away which seems a shame as not cheap to replace. Many thanks.

Hi Dave,
Sort of.....bought it from a company who sell on older vans, that said, in the heap of paperwork there's the details of a previous owner (but not sure if it's the most recent owner) has name and address but is ex-directory therefore can't 'phone them but we will probably tootle over and ask. Thanks

These are very compact locks - this is one we take with us to use on site. I hope you can obtain keys, as Winterhoff has been taken over by ALKO.

Well, have found a second hand replacement complete with 3 keys at a very reasonable price, therefore as local caravan dealer suggested the original one is a paperweight!
