Hi All
I have a trailer that i use to go camping with. The problem is that it has to be stored in the garden but getting it out is a bit of a challenge as the gate is very narrow and nothing can be done about this. I have built a kind of large skateboard on which i lift the trailer onto its flat end, take the wheels off and then push it through and then re-assemble. Its a real pain.

I cant leave it out the front as there is no room.

Does anyone do similar or have a decent solution to this conundrum? I was thinking about build some sort of skateboard upgrade similar to a wheelchair but getting it on and off will probably be more of an issue

no we used to have a trailer tent and had side storage bars, these had decent wheels on so you could move it, we used to store ours in the back garden, to get it there we had to push it down the tunnel between the houses 3ft wide at most, but took the view that it wasn't going to be pinched!

It was many years ago now(25+?) but when I made a trailer(with a 6'x4' bed), I welded a pair of decent lengths of 2" box sections at either edge, under the rear end(running from back to front) to act as "socket tubes" and I then fabricated a pair box section "T" frames, with 4 hefty castors bolted to each of the "top ends" of the "T"s.   
The upright on the "T"s slipped into the "sockets" and I was able to up-end the trailer by lifting from the drawbar end and just "walking" it up(as one would raise a large ladder)until it was up on the castors.

(I'd also made the full drawbar detachable, so once up ended, it could be removed and wheeled through the garage).
Hope some of that makes some sense?(it's lost me! and I did it!... )
sorry, I never had any photos of it.

It may be worth having a look on the likes of youtube, as all manner of stuff gets paraded on there...

What about making something like Camp-let use to flip their trailer tents onto their sides?

4 quick release clamps to remove the box from the chassis. Very easy to get them through a standard doorway.

I used to have a trailer that I had to get through a narrow door. I fitted four large castor type wheels to one side of it. They were permanent so no messing about fitting anything.

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

Oops! having just reread the opening post properly, I see it's the narrow gate that is the issue,not the actual wheeling it around.
