Help please... anybody know where I can get spare parts for the above? I think I need a thermostat and will be shortly venturing into the workings of my Coolbox/ refrigerator to see if it is replaceable but so far haven't found anywhere dealing in spares.
------------- A recent survey found that 93% of satstics were utter bo11ox!
In another survey, 10% of the men questioned preferred women with thin thighs, 15% preferred thick thighs, the rest preferred something in between!

Not much help, but Guilbert501 on here had a problem with the same model, not controlling it's temperature so I guess some kind of thermostat problem.
Guilbert501 posted the problem back in 2011, but still remains active with recent posts.
These kind of compressor fridge units often use the same components, and I would imagine a Dometic repair shop will be able to help with parts, although I would imagine when these units start to fail that they can often be beyond economic repair.
Thanks...I have found the old thread and asked if it was ever resolved...

Yep, hope you can get it fixed, as the nearest equivalent replacement unit would be the Mobicool FR40 at around £300, although that is still around half the price of the Waeco nearest model, both of which are from Dometic of course.
I'm from Yorkshire...I don't replace if I can fix.

Yep I get that dickturpin, my Waeco CF-25 compressor portable fridge is 10 years old and still in perfect working order, but I guess the compressor must be nearing the end of it's serviceable life, so out of curiosity I priced up the cost of a replacement compressor unit, should the worst happen.
The price was around £300 so won't be replacing that if and when it packs in.
The problem in this modern age, is that we are in a disposable society, and it is often cheaper to replace than repair, unlike back in the day.
I recall looking at waeco models at the time I purchased the Eskimo... maybe some components are interchangeable...I need to see the existing thermostat to see if I can identify a similar part. Out come the screwdrivers!

Yep, it's probably a Danfos compressor in the Eskimo, which kinda gives the game away.
We got a Mobicool C40 back in 2013 £139 inc delivery from Obelink, back in the day when € prices were low and the £ was worth 1.5€, mains only but fantastic for use in the tent for our fortnight campings each year, so the Waeco has only been used in the car since then, which probably explains why it is still going strong.
