we have a kampa air awning and thinking about buying a sabre light and was wondering if they were any good does anyone have these lights and if so do you have any issues with them
Rather bright but ours have an electronic control unit which means you can turn the brightness up and down. If the light you buy doesn’t have one as standard you can buy then off Ebay for a few pounds.
We have the Sabre lights (2 x linked together) find them very good and dimmable via a remote control, so not too harsh (for us at least). Quite expensive though.
We have the Vango Sunbeam kit and it looks to work on the same principle as the Kampa offering, love it out in the awning and the remote control to dim is fantastic.
I have one and it's an excellent light providing you get the remote control so that you can vary brightness. When I'm not camping, it doubles as my workshop main light!
As someone has said, they're not the most homely of lamps as the colour temperature is quite high and white. You can buy warmer (lower Kelvin value)lamps if that matters.
