Wondering if amyone could help.Just bought a used Caravan from a dealer it has a Carver AR2-1 motor mover on it but no remote .The dealer had advertised but did not mention it . On viewing it he stated he did not advertise the motor mover as he did not give warranties on then and it had no remote so coukd not be tested .
Is there anyway to test a motor mover with out a remote as i do not want to buy a replacement only to find out the mover is faulty .

It's not just the remote control that needs replacing but also there should be a removable switch key to turn the mover ON and OFF which is usually found in the battery locker so you need to see if that is missing too. Even if the unit can be tested without the remote then you will still need to sitch ON the mover from the key switch.

I have been told i can get my control box tested and a mew remote supplied at a reasonable price . So I want to check the actual motors gearbox are , can i connect the motors dierct to a battery to check them ie by pass the co trol box?

To test the motors then yes. At the box just bridge the feed and ground to the appropriate mover motor wires then repeat for the other motor. Reverse the polarity to run motors the other way. To be safe I would make sure the feed is fused if not put one in just in case the motor is seized and pulls too much current.
