I recently purchased a new caravan which came with an evolution power touch motor mover fitted. On a trip at Moffat we tried it out when hitching up to leave whilst carrying out this a fellow caravaner stopped to talk to me and whilst gabbing I put down the remote control on the fairing. Because the site was busy I decided to move to the caravan storage area to check lights , mirrors etc and this is where I discovered the remote lying on the ground , what a near disaster.

I decided then to look for a case of sort to protect the remote and found a waterproof case with a lanyard for round your neck on Amazon. This is ideal as you can work the remote through the plastic case and it hangs round your neck with the advantage of being waterproof no more worries. The item can be found here (Gear Beast Heavy Duty Universal Cell Phone Dry Bag IPX8 Certified Floating Waterproof Case Pouch for Apple iPhone X 8 7 6S 6 Plus 5 SE Samsung Galaxy S9 S8 Plus S7 S6 Edge Note 8 5 for Men Women Kids)

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

I have never felt the need with my Reich remote to have such a product, as its basically a sealed box with a hatch underneath for the battery.

However I was concerned with the scenario described - being distracted and putting remote and forgetting it - lots of people have done just that. I got my self a second hand spare that lives permanently in the van just in case...

I put my remote control in a bum bag that goes around my waist. I unzip the bag then just slip it in and take it out as required so never have to put it down and likely to forget it. If you put the remote in a plastic bag as shown in the link it still doesn't stop you from forgetting to pick it up again so the bum bag is a more practical idea really.
