Anybody use sky q in their van and if so how do you set it up.
I believe with the wideband lnb it's not possible to use the normal meter.
Anybody use a meter that works on the wideband lnb and if so which one.
I have a sky Q box at home but have used an old sky box in the caravan until recently using a dish and tripod. Has worked well as far south as Montpellier.
However sites with good WiFi mean I can watch most stuff online and a Motorhome wifi signal booster helps a lot. We also download a lot of stuff before we leave, and Netflix is also excellent.
I think we’ll stop using the dish and box this year.
I’d imagine you could tune in the Q box in the same way as always with a dish and the proper lnb. You don’t need a meter assuming you can check signal strength and quality on services?
Enjoy the Spanish trip Kelper. We are off in two weeks or so headed for Montpellier / Canal du Midi area but if weather is not great we may head into Spain too.
WE had sky Q a couple of years ago I ask the installer about this. He said the best bet is use an ordinary LNB then change it for the sky Q LNB and you can just tweek the dish a little which will set you up.
I must admit I never tried it.
